Tablelands Folk Festival presents:
Cam Kettle at Yungaburra Pub for May Tablelands Folk Festival Yungaburra Sessions
Saturday 27 May – 7pm – no cover charge
Hailing from the cooler climate of Victoria’s Hepburn Springs, folk alternative singer songwriter Cam Kettle brings his recently released EP ‘Steps of Life’ to the East Coast of Australia with a massive 25 show tour over 3 states.
The 11 track debut showcases Kettle at his intimate best with his story telling grabbing the audience from start to finish. With highlights of influences including John Butler, Bernard Fanning and Jack Johnson shining through, his relaxed on stage persona adds to this performers overall charm and quality.
Having first started music at the age of 13 mimicking guitar idols such as Slash, Jimmy Page and Angus Young, the Victorian songwriter’s style has evolved into a more Xavier Rudd meets Mumford & Sons delivery.
With a tour stretching from his base in Hepburn to as north as Port Douglas, Cam Kettle is set to make his mark across the East Coast in 2017.
The usual Saturday afternoon verandah jam session will be the high point of the Saturday afternoon. Musicians of all skills levels are encouraged to join in.
