What would you like first? The good news? Or the bad news?
Well…. There’s only GOOD news!
Although we can’t utilise the pub this year, due to renovations, we’ve come up with 2 stunning new venues.
Some of you may remember The Pavilion in the Park some years ago. Well, this year, it’s not in the Park, but in honour of our Festival’s heritage, we’re naming this new huge marquee ‘The Pavilion’. Located behind the Community Hall, it’ll host all of your main concert Headline acts. International, Interstate and local, all weekend.
There’ll be a purpose built Bar all weekend with tables and chairs scattered throughout. A designated dance area, extra toilets – in fact – all the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect and enjoy at our fabulous festival.
Over in the Park is a new and stupendous marquee – The Kaleidoscope Stage. During the morning it’ll be a-buzz with kids entertainment, suitable for the entire family. Then in the afternoons and into the evenings, it comes alive with some of our visiting and local musicians in a more intimate space. Don’t get me wrong – it’s not small by any means. In fact, about the same size as the Pub Ballroom😊 See what we did there?
If you’d like a little Pre-Festival fun, join us from 7.30 pm on Saturday October 17 at the Tablelands Music Lovers, Grainger Lane Atherton for a Tablelands Folk Festival Showcase event.
Featuring Mangrove Jack duo, Tolga Scrub and JuJu Moon, it’s just $10 for TML members and $15 for non-members. Hope you can join us to ‘get in the mood’ for the October 23-25 Festival in Yungaburra.
If you’re in the area and can spare a bit of time, please visit Jenni and Cathie at the TFF stall at this Saturday’s Yungaburra Markets – they’ll be there all morning and would love some company.
The next Planning Meeting is scheduled for 5 pm this Saturday September 26 at 9 Bunya Street Yungaburra. Please bring a plate of food to share and your favourite tipple. We’re at the pointy end now and need to consolidate all that we have plotted and planned for . Bring your last minute ideas and your sense of humour. We need both from now till October 26!
